"Bagpipers For Hire" has been the premier bagpiping service for the Chicagoland and tri-state area since August of 2000!  Offering a variety of bagpipe related services including weddings, funerals, church functions, private parties, whiskey tastings, parades and of course St Patricks Day Celebrations.  We can provide solo pipers, duets, quartets, mini bands, and full pipe bands to accommodate any needs you may require.

The Piper: Steve LaRue

Started piping (chanter) in 1982, first playing pipes with The "500" Gordon Pipers, Indianapolis, IN from 1985 to 1988. Played with other misc pipers from University of Memphis, Memphis, TN from 1989 to 1990. Was a member of the Tunes of Glory Pipes and Drums, Warrenville, IL from 2000 to 2001. In 2001 competed at the Bridge of Allan, Scotland Highland Games and the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Member of the 2002 Chicago Caledonian Pipes and Drums, winning the Midwest Championship, U.S. Open Championship and taking third place at the North American Championship. Currently a member of the Penetangore Pipes and Drums, Kincardine, Ontario, Canada - Winner of the 2008 North American Championship grade IV. Have opened two of Rod Stewart's concerts - Indianapolis, IN and Chicago, IL.
