Meet the Piper
Steve LaRue
Steve began his piping journey in 1982 with the chanter, and first played pipes with The “500” Gordon Pipers in Indianapolis from 1985-1988. His passion for bagpiping has taken him across the country and overseas.
A championship-winning piper, Steve has competed at the Bridge of Allan Highland Games in Scotland and the World Championships in Glasgow.
Here are a few of his more memorable accomplishments:
Opened for Rod Stewart concerts in Chicago and Indianapolis
2000 Founded Bagpipers For Hire
2001 Competed at World Championships, Glasgow
